From hadith no 401 to 410

Hadith No: 401 Narrated/Authority of Aisha

When this verse was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) stood up on mount Safa. He said: “O Fatima, daughter of Muhammad. O Safiya, daughter of Abd al-Muttalib. O sons of Abd al-Muttalib. I have nothing to protect you from Allah. You can ask me for anything you want from my worldly belongings.”

Hadith No: 402 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

When this verse was revealed to him, the Messenger of Allah said, “Warn your closest relatives.” He told the people of Quraish, “You need to save yourselves from Allah. I cannot help you against Allah.” He also told the sons of Abd al-Muttalib and Abbas b. ‘Abd al-Muttalib the same thing. He told Safiya, the aunt of the Messenger of Allah, and Fatima, daughter of Muhammad, “You can ask me anything, but I cannot help you against Allah.”

Hadith No: 403 Narrated/Authority of Apostle

The Apostle(may peace be upon him) narrated this hadith. It was narrated by a different group of people, including ‘Amr al-’Naqid, Mu’awiya b. ‘Amr, Abdullah b. Dhakwan, and A’raj. They heard it from Abu Huraira.

Hadith No: 404 Narrated/Authority of Qabisa bin alMukhariq and Zuhair bin Amr

When this verse was revealed, the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) went to a rock on a hill. He climbed the highest rock and called out to his sons of ‘Abd Manaf. He said, “I am a warner. I am like a man who saw the enemy and went to protect his people. But he was afraid they might reach there before him, so he shouted, ‘Be on your guard!'”

Hadith No: 405 Muhammad b. Abd ala A’la

Muhammad b. Abd ala A’la narrated the story. He heard it from Mu’tamir, who heard it from Abu ‘Uthman, who heard it from Zuhair b. ‘Amr, who heard it from Qabisa b. Mukhariq.

Hadith No: 406 Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas

When this verse was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) went to Safa’ and called loudly: Be on your guard! They asked: Who is calling aloud? They were told: Muhammad. They gathered around him. He said: O sons of so and so, O sons of so and so, O sons of ‘Abd Manaf, O sons of ‘Abd al-’Muttalib, and they gathered around him. He asked: If I told you that horsemen were coming out of this mountain, would you believe me? They said: We haven’t known you to lie. He said: Well, I am warning you before a severe torment. Abu Lahab said: Destruction to you! Is this why you gathered us? The Holy Prophet then stood up and this verse was revealed: “Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and he indeed perished.” A’mash recited this to the end of the Sura.

Hadith No: 407 Narrated/Authority of Amash

One day, the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) climbed the hill of Safa’ and said, “Be on your guard.” The rest of the hadith was narrated like the hadith transmitted by Usama. He did not mention the revelation of the verse: “Warn thy nearest kindred.”

Hadith No: 408 Narrated/Authority of Abbas bin Abd alMuttalib

The person asked the Messenger of Allah if he had helped Abu Talib because Abu Talib defended him and was very passionate about it. The Messenger of Allah said yes. He said Abu Talib would be in the least severe part of the Fire. If it wasn’t for the Messenger of Allah, Abu Talib would have been in the worst part of Hell.

Hadith No: 409 Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin alHarith

I heard Abbas say, “I said, ‘Messenger of Allah, Abu Talib defended you and helped you. Would it benefit him?'” The Holy Prophet replied, “Yes, I found him in the lowest part of the Fire and brought him to the shallow part.”

Hadith No: 410 Narrated/Authority of Abu ‘Uwana

Abu ‘Uwana narrated this story. The chain of transmitters includes Muhammad b. Hatim, Yahya b. Sa’id, Abu Sufyan, ‘Abbas b. ‘Abd al-’Muttalib, and others.
