Hadith No: 71 Narrated/Authority of Anas bin Malik

The Messenger of Allah said, “You are not a believer until I am more important to you than your child, your father, and all of humanity.”

Hadith No: 72 Narrated/Authority of Anas bin Malik

The Prophet said: You aren’t a true believer until you want the same good things for others that you want for yourself.

Hadith No: 73 Narrated/Authority of Anas

The Prophet said, “No one truly believes until they want for their neighbor what they want for themselves.”

Hadith No: 74 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah said that a person will not enter Paradise if their neighbor is not safe from their bad behavior.

Hadith No: 75 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said that if you believe in Allah and the Last Day, you should either speak kindly or stay quiet. If you believe in Allah and the Last Day, you should treat your neighbor with kindness. If you believe in Allah and the Last Day, you should show hospitality to your guest.

Hadith No: 76 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah said that whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm their neighbor. They should also show hospitality to their guest. Additionally, they should speak kindly or choose to stay silent.

Hadith No: 77 Narrated/Authority of

Abu Huraira also reported a hadith like the one narrated by Abu Husain, but with one difference: the Prophet said, “He should do good to the neighbor.”

Hadith No: 78 Narrated/Authority of Abu Shuraih al Khuzai

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “If you believe in Allah and the Last Day, you should be kind to your neighbor. If you believe in Allah and the Last Day, you should be hospitable to your guests. If you believe in Allah and the Last Day, you should either say something good or stay silent.”

Hadith No: 79 Narrated/Authority of Tariq bin Shihab

Marwan started giving a speech before the prayer on Eid. A man said, “The prayer should come before the speech.” Marwan replied, “We don’t do that anymore.” Abu Said said, “This man did what he was supposed to do.” I heard the Messenger of Allah say, “If you see something bad, try to stop it. If you can’t, speak out against it. And if you can’t do that, at least hate it in your heart. That’s the smallest act of faith.”

Hadith No: 80 Narrated/Authority of

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported the same hadith of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in connection with the story of Marwan.

Hadith No: 81 Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Masud

The Messenger of Allah said that every Prophet sent by Allah had disciples and companions who followed his ways and obeyed his command. But later, their successors started saying things they didn’t practice and practicing things they weren’t commanded to do. Those who opposed them with their hands, tongues, or hearts were believers. There is no faith beyond that, not even as small as a mustard seed. Abu Rafi’ told Abdullah b. ‘Umar about this hadith, but he disagreed. Later, Abdullah b. Mas’ud came to Qanat and Abdullah b. ‘Umar wanted me to visit him because he was sick. I went with him and asked Ibn Mas’ud about the hadith. He narrated it in the same way as I did to Ibn ‘Umar.

Hadith No: 82 Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Masud

No prophet had followers who didn’t follow his directions and ways. Salih narrated the rest of the hadith, but it doesn’t mention Ibn Mas’ud’s arrival or Ibn ‘Umar’s meeting with him.

Hadith No: 83 Narrated/Authority of Ibn Masud

The Apostle of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) pointed towards Yemen and said: Faith is found in this direction. Harshness and callousness of the hearts are found among the rude owners of the camels. They drive the camels behind their tails towards the direction where the two horns of Satan emerge. These tribes are Rabi’a and Mudar.

Hadith No: 84 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah said, “The people of Yemen have come. They have kind hearts, believe like the Yemenites, understand like the Yemenites, and are wise like the Yemenites.”

Hadith No: 85 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

Muhammad b. al-Muthanna, Ishaq b. Yusuf Azraq, Ibn ‘Aun, etc., also transmitted the same hadith to us.

Hadith No: 86 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said: People from Yemen came to you. They have gentle hearts and kind feelings. They understand things well and are wise.

Hadith No: 87 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Unbelief is greatest in the East. The people who own horses and camels and live in tents are rude and uncivil. Those who rear goats and sheep are peaceful.”

Hadith No: 88 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said that the Yemenites believe, while the people in the East are unbelievers. Those who raise goats and sheep are peaceful, while the owners of horses and camels are proud and pretend.

Hadith No: 89 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

I heard the Messenger of Allah say this: The people who own camels are often proud and conceited, while the people who own sheep and goats are usually more calm.

Zuhri also narrates the same hadith with the same chain of authorities. Additionally, the belief and sagacity belong to the Yemenites.

Hadith No: 91 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

I heard the Prophet say: The people of Yemen are sensitive and humble. The Yemenites have strong beliefs and wisdom. Those who own goats and sheep are peaceful. Those who own camels and live in tents towards the east are proud and arrogant.

Hadith No: 92 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said that the people of Yemen are kindhearted and sensitive. They have strong beliefs and are very wise. The highest level of disbelief is found in the East.

Hadith No: 93 Narrated/Authority of

Qutaiba b. Sa’id and Zubair b. Harb said that Jarir narrated this. Jarir got this information from A’mash, using the same chain of narrators as mentioned before.

Hadith No: 94 Narrated/Authority of Shuba

Jarir reported the hadith with the same chain of narrators. The hadith adds that pride and conceitedness are common among camel owners, while tranquillity and sobriety are found among sheep owners.

Hadith No: 95 Narrated/Authority of Jabir bin Abdullah

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said that people in the East are callous and stern, while the people of the Hijaz have faith.

Hadith No: 96 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah said, “You can’t go to Paradise unless you believe in all the articles of faith. And you won’t believe until you love one another. Let me tell you something that will help you love each other: say ‘as-salamu alaikum’ to each other.”

Hadith No: 97 Narrated/Authority of Zuhair bin Harb

Jarir reported that the Messenger of Allah said: “You shall not enter Paradise unless you believe. Abd Mu’awiya and Waki’ also reported the same hadith.”

Hadith No: 98 Narrated/Authority of Tamim Al-Dari

The Apostle of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said that sincerity and well wishing are important in religion. We asked him, “Who should we be sincere and well wishing towards?” He replied, “Towards Allah, His Book, His Messenger, the leaders, and all Muslims.”

Hadith No: 99 Narrated/Authority of Muhammad bin Hatim

Tamim ad-Dari and others also tell the same hadith of the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him).

Hadith No: 100 Narrated/Authority of Umayya bin Bistam

Tamim ad-Dari reported the same hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).

Hadith No: 101 Narrated/Authority of Jarir

I observed I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him). I did this when I prayed, paid Zakat, and sincerely wished well for every Muslim..

Hadith No: 102 Narrated/Authority of Ziyad bin Ilaqa

I heard Jarir b. ‘Abdullah say that I pledged allegiance to the Apostle of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) sincerely and with good wishes for every Muslim.

Hadith No: 103 Narrated/Authority of Jarir

I observed that I owed allegiance to the Apostle of Allah. I heard his commands and obeyed them. The Prophet instructed me to do what I could, and to have sincerity and goodwill towards every Muslim.

Hadith No: 104 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah said that anyone who commits fornication is not a believer as long as they continue to do it. Similarly, anyone who steals is not a believer as long as they continue to steal. And anyone who drinks alcohol is not a believer as long as they continue to drink. Abdul-Malik b. Abi Bakr reported this from Abu Bakr b. Abdur-Rahman b. Harith, who heard it from Abu Huraira. Abu Huraira added that anyone who steals something valuable that catches people’s attention is not a believer as long as they continue to do this.

Hadith No: 105 Narrated/Authority of Abdulah Malik bin Shuaib

Abu Huraira observed that the Messenger of Allah said a fornicator does not fornicate. He also mentioned plundering but did not mention a thin having value. Ibn Shihab said Sa’id b. al?Musayyib and Abu Salama also narrated this hadith on the authority of Abu Huraira, similar to Abu Bakr’s hadith except for the mention of plundering.

Hadith No: 106 Narrated/Authority of Muhammad bin Mihran

Abu Huraira’s hadith mentioned plundering but didn’t mention the value of the thing.

Hadith No: 107 Narrated/Authority of Imam Muslim

Hasan b. ‘Ali al-Halwani and other traditions reported this hadith.

Hadith No: 108 Narrated/Authority of Qutaiba bin Said

Abu Huraira reported this hadith. It is similar to the hadith narrated by Zuhri, but there is one difference. In the hadith narrated by ‘Ala ‘ and Safwan b. Sulaim, there is no mention of people raising their eyes towards him. In the hadith narrated by Hammam, it says the believers raise their eyes towards him. These words are added: “And no exploiter who makes an exploitation is a believer as long as he exploits it.” So, avoid and shun these evils.

Hadith No: 109 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

If someone has sex outside of marriage, they are not a believer. The same goes for stealing and drinking wine. But if they stop doing these things and ask for forgiveness, they can become a believer again.

Hadith No: 110 Narrated/Authority of

This hadith is like one narrated by Shu’ba. It is on the authority of Abu Huraira and it traces back to the Holy Prophet.

Hadith No: 111 Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Amr

The Prophet observed that anyone with four characteristics is a sheer hypocrite. If a person possesses one of these characteristics, they have a characteristic of hypocrisy until they stop. The four characteristics are: lying when talking, acting treacherously when making a covenant, and deviating from the truth when quarreling.

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said three signs show a hypocrite. A hypocrite lies when speaking, acts treacherously when making a promise, and betrays trust.

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said that a hypocrite has three characteristics. He lies when he speaks, he acts treacherously when he makes a promise, and he betrays trust when he is trusted.

Hadith No: 114 Narrated/Authority of Uqba bin Mukarram al Ami

Ala bin Abdur-Rahman narrated this hadith. He said three signs indicate a hypocrite, even if they fast, pray, and claim to be Muslim.

Hadith No: 115 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made observations similar to those in the hadith narrated by Yahya b. Muhammad on the authority of ‘Ala’. He also added that even if someone fasts, prays, and claims to be a Muslim, their actions alone do not prove their sincerity.

The Apostle said that if a man calls his brother an unbeliever, it affects one of them.

Hadith No: 117 Narrated/Authority of Ibn Umar

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: If someone calls their brother an unbeliever, then either one of them is an unbeliever. If what the person said was true, then the man is an unbeliever. If it wasn’t true, then it goes back to the person who said it.

Hadith No: 118 Narrated/Authority of Abu Dharr

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said that if someone knowingly claims another person as their father, they are being unfaithful. And if someone claims something that doesn’t belong to them, they are not part of our group. They will end up in the Fire. If someone calls another person an unbeliever or an enemy of Allah, and that person is not actually an unbeliever or enemy, it will come back to them.

Hadith No: 119 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah said, “Do not hate your fathers. If you hate your father, you are being unfaithful.”

Hadith No: 120 Narrated/Authority of Sad bin Abi Waqqas

I heard the Messenger of Allah say that claiming someone else as your father, when you know it’s not true, is a serious sin. If you do this, you won’t be allowed into Paradise. Abu Bakra also heard the Messenger of Allah say this.

Hadith No: 121 Narrated/Authority of Sad and Abu Bakra

Each person said, “I heard with my own ears and remembered that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If someone falsely claims another man as his father, even though he knows he is not his father, then Paradise will be forbidden to him.”

Hadith No: 122 Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Masud

The Messenger of Allah said that it is wrong to insult a Muslim and it is disbelief to fight against him. Zubaid asked Abu Wa’il if he had heard this from Abdullah who heard it from the Messenger of Allah. Abu Wa’il said yes. The conversation between Zubaid and Abu Wa’il is mentioned in the hadith narrated by Shu’ba.

Hadith No: 123 Narrated/Authority of Abu Bakr bin Abu Shaiba

The Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) said this hadith, and Abdullah told it.

Hadith No: 124 Narrated/Authority of Jarir bin Abdullah

During the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Apostle of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) asked him to make the people silent. He said, “Do not return to unbelief after me by striking each other’s necks.”

Hadith No: 125 Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Muadh

The Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) said this hadith. Ibn Umar is the authority.

Hadith No: 126 Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Umar

During the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Apostle (peace be upon him) warned, “Woe unto you! Distress unto you! Don’t turn back as unbelievers after me. Strike not the necks of one another.”

The Holy Prophet said that a slave who runs away from his master is being unfaithful until he goes back. Mansur said that this hadith was told by the Apostle, but he doesn’t want it to be shared in Basra with his name attached to it.

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said that when a slave runs away from his master, the master is no longer responsible for him.

The Holy Prophet said that if a slave runs away from their master, their prayer will not be accepted.

Hadith No: 133 Narrated/Authority of Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani

The Messenger of Allah led the morning prayer at Hudaybiya. There were marks from the rain during the night. After the prayer, he turned to the people and asked, “Do you know what your Lord has said?” They replied, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” The Holy Prophet then said, “Allah said: Some of My servants woke up this morning as believers, and some as unbelievers. The one who said, ‘We had rain because of Allah’s Blessing and Mercy,’ is a believer in Me and does not believe in stars. But the one who said, ‘We had rain because of a certain star,’ disbelieves in Me and believes in stars.”

Hadith No: 134 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Do you not know what your Lord said? He said, ‘Every time I bless my servants, some of them disbelieve and say it’s because of the stars.'”

Hadith No: 135 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah said that Allah does not bless us from the sky. In the morning, some men don’t believe it is a blessing from Allah. Allah sends rain, but the disbelievers think it’s because of a star.

Hadith No: 136 Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas

Once, there was a heavy rain while the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) was alive. Upon seeing this, the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) said: Some people woke up feeling grateful to Allah, while others woke up feeling ungrateful. The grateful ones said: This rain is a blessing from Allah. The ungrateful ones said: This rain happened because of a certain star alignment. As a response to this, the following verse was revealed: I swear by the setting of the stars, and it is a great oath. So, make your provision and continue to disbelieve if you wish.

Hadith No: 137 Narrated/Authority of Anas

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said that a hypocrite hates the Ansar, and a believer loves the Ansar.

Hadith No: 138 Narrated/Authority of Anas

The Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Loving the Ansar shows faith, while hating them shows dissemblance.”

Hadith No: 139 Narrated/Authority of Al Bara

The Apostle (may peace and blessing be upon him) said that the Ansar are loved by believers and hated by hypocrites. Those who love the Ansar also love Allah, and those who hate the Ansar also hate Allah. I (the narrator) asked if al-Bara’ heard this hadith. He said that al-Bara’ told it to him.

Hadith No: 140 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) said that if a person believes in Allah and the Last Day, they will never hold a grudge against the Ansar.

Hadith No: 141 Narrated/Authority of Abu Said Al-Khudri

The Messenger of Allah said that a person who believes in Allah and the Last Day never holds a grudge against the Ansar.

Hadith No: 141 Narrated/Authority of Zirr

Ali observed that the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) promised that only a believer would love me and only a hypocrite would nurse a grudge against me. The promise was made by Him Who split the seed and created something living.

Hadith No: 142 Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Umar

The Messenger of Allah said, “Women, give charity and ask for forgiveness. I saw many of you in Hell.” A wise woman asked, “Why are there so many women in Hell?” The Holy Prophet answered, “You curse too much and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have seen no one lacking common sense and failing in religion more than you.” The woman asked, “What is wrong with our common sense and religion?” He replied, “Your lack of common sense is shown by the fact that the testimony of two women is equal to one man. And you sometimes skip prayers and fasting during Ramadan.” This hadith was narrated by Abu Tahir.

When the son of Adam recites the Ayat of Sajdah (prostration) and falls down in prostration, Satan goes into seclusion and weeps. Satan says, “Alas!” In the narration of Abu Kuraib, the words are: “Woe unto me! The son of Adam was commanded to prostrate, and he prostrated. Paradise was entitled to him. I was commanded to prostrate, but I refused and am doomed to Hell.”

Hadith No: 146 Narrated/Authority of Al amash

This hadith has the same chain of transmitters. The only change is in the words that the Satan said: “I disobeyed and I am doomed to Hell.”

Hadith No: 147 Narrated/Authority of Jabir

Jabir heard the Apostle saying: “Verily, the negligence of prayer is what separates man from polytheism and unbelief.”

Abu Zubair heard Jabir b. ‘Abdullah saying: “I heard the Messenger of Allah observing this: The abandonment of salat is what separates man from polytheism and unbelief.”

Hadith No: 148 Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira

The Messenger of Allah was asked about the best deeds. He said that belief in Allah is the best. The person asked what comes next. The Holy Prophet replied that jihad in the cause of Allah is the next best. The person asked again what comes after that. The Holy Prophet replied that pilgrimage accepted into the grace of the Lord is the next best. In another tradition, Muhammad bin Jafar said that the Holy Prophet said belief in Allah and His Messenger is the best. Muhammad bin Rafi, Abd bin Humaid, Abdur-Razzaq, Mamar, and Zuhri have also narrated a similar hadith from the same chain of transmitters.

Hadith No: 149 Narrated/Authority of Abu Dharr

I asked the Messenger of Allah which deeds are the best. He said, “Believing in Allah and fighting in His cause.” I asked again, “Who is the best slave to free?” He replied, “One who is valuable to his master and has a high price.” I said, “What if I can’t afford to do that?” He replied, “Help a craftsman or make something for an unskilled worker.” I said, “Messenger of Allah, I am unable to do some of these deeds.” He replied, “Stop causing harm to others. That is your way of giving charity.”

Hadith No: 150 Narrated/Authority of Muhammad bin Abu Rafi

Abu Dharr’s hadith has a slight difference.
