From hadith no 432 to 441
Hadith No: 432 Narrated/Authority of Abu Musa al-Ashari
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said, “Cleanliness is half of faith. Praise be to Allah fills the scale. Glory be to Allah and Praise be to Allah fill up what is between the heavens and the earth. Prayer is a light. Charity is proof of one’s faith. Endurance is brightness. The Holy Qur’an is proof for or against you. All men go out early in the morning and sell themselves, setting themselves free or destroying themselves.”
Hadith No: 433 Narrated/Authority of Musab bin Sad
Abdullah, Umar’s son, went to Ibn’Amir to ask about his health because he was sick. Ibn ‘Umar, why don’t you pray to Allah for me? I heard Allah’s Messenger say that prayers are only accepted if you are clean, and charity is only accepted if it comes from honest money. And you were the governor of Basra.
Hadith No: 434 Narrated/Authority of
Muhammad b. Muthanna, Ibn Bashshar, Muhammad b. Ja’far, and Shu’ba narrated a hadith like this from the Apostle (may peace be upon him).
Hadith No: 435 Narrated/Authority of Hammam bin Munabbih
Abu Huraira told us that Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, said that we cannot pray if we are impure. We need to perform ablution first.
Hadith No: 436 Narrated/Authority of Humran
Uthman b. ‘Affan called for water to wash his hands. He rinsed his mouth and cleaned his nose with water. He washed his face, right arm, and left arm. He wiped his head. He washed his right foot and left foot. Uthman said he saw the Messenger of Allah perform ablution like this. The Messenger of Allah said that anyone who performs ablution like this and then prays without getting distracted will have their previous sins forgiven. Ibn Shihab said that scholars believe this is the most complete ablution for prayer.
Hadith No: 437 Narrated/Authority of Humran
I saw Uthman call for water. He poured water over his hands three times and washed them. Then he put his right hand in the water and rinsed his mouth and cleaned his nose. He washed his face three times and his hands up to the elbow three times. Then he wiped his head and washed his feet three times. He said that the Messenger of Allah had said: If someone does ablution like me and prays without getting distracted, all their previous sins will be forgiven.
Hadith No: 438 Narrated/Authority of Humran
I heard from ‘Uthman b. ‘Affan in the mosque courtyard. The Mu’adhdhin came to him during the afternoon prayer. ‘Uthman called for water to perform ablution. Then he said: I want to share a hadith with you. If it wasn’t in the Book of Allah, I wouldn’t share it. I heard Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) say: If a Muslim performs ablution properly and prays, Allah will forgive all their sins between prayers.
Hadith No: 439 Narrated/Authority of Abu Usama
He who performed the ablution well and then offered the obligatory prayer.”
Hadith No: 440 Narrated/Authority of Humran
When ‘Uthman performed ablution, he said, “By Allah, I am telling you a hadith. If it wasn’t for this verse in the Book of Allah, I wouldn’t have told you. I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say that if a person performs ablution properly and then prays, their sins are forgiven between that prayer and the next one.” ‘Urwa said, “The verse is: ‘Those who suppress the clear proofs and the guidance which We have sent down’… to His words: ‘the Cursers’ (ii. 15).”
Hadith No: 441 Narrated/Authority of Amr bin Said bin alAs
Uthman called for water for ablution. He said, “I heard Allah’s Messenger say that when it’s time for prayer, if a Muslim performs ablution properly and prays with humility and bowing, it will forgive their past sins, as long as they haven’t committed a major sin. This applies always.”
